Schababerle Wrapup
Full Schababerle RESULTS
In case it's not obvious, that look you see on the face of every rider in these pictures is sheer pain. Its only mid March and the second race into the season and the team has tackled what will certainly be the toughest race course faced all year. This was truly a race of attrition. Only the toughest made it over the top with the first group, including Ryan S, Aaron, Miles and Becca. The rest of us were just that, the best of the rest. Those that didn't make the selection showed that they still had what it took to finish strong. In a race that finished with a high number of DNF's, every rider that lined up for Team Indiebike.com p/b Angie's list crossed the line on the final lap over the "toaster". Nice job all!

Schababerle Preview
Team Indiebike.com p/b Angie's List is sending another solid group of riders to OSRS#2 this weekend in California, KY. Again this week nine riders will line up for the Shababerle road race. Riders will complete (hopefully) anywhere from three to five laps around the 10.5 mile course, each time heading over a long, grueling 5 mile uphill known as the "Toaster".
If you want to get an idea of what you are missing, or what you are about to experience, check out this link to The Best Bike Blog Ever. The author shares some valuable nuggets of truth about this legendary race.
Best of luck to Cory, Brad, Dustin, Ryan E, Ryan S, Steve, Becca, Aaron and Miles. Dont give up!

2011 Ohio Spring Race Series (OSRS)
The OSRS is a great way to start the season. This series of 10 true road races offers a chance to test your abilities on several challenging courses throughout the Ohio Valley region. Since these are road races and it is not unlikely for fields to top 50 riders, if you are on form early OSRS provides a good opportunity to bag some upgrade points. The series is promoted by Big Dave Sports and is extremely well organized.
This season Team Indiebike p/b Angie's List plans to be solidly represented in the series with hopefully 6-12 riders competing each week across categories. The first race is this Sunday, 3/20, at Deer Creek. This is one of the few mostly flat courses in the series. Team Indiebike will be sending a contingent of riders in hopes of posting the first strong results of the season.
Here is a glance at the full schedule. As always all of the events will be posted on the team Google Calendar and Upcoming Events on the sidebar.

Training Camp 2011 wrap up
Team Indiebike p/b Angie's List has returned from training camp 2011. I think all who attended will agree it was a great event. Sixteen riders in all made the trip. The vans rolled in a little too late to get out on Thursday before the sun started setting, so there was plenty of time to pick out beds, watch some tournament basketball and rest up for a weekend of riding.
The team put in a solid 65 miles in Friday morning. The terrain was rolling and the roads were flawless. After returning to camp for lunch most headed out for another 30 through the beautiful TN countryside.
Saturday the team hit the nearby Natchez Trace, a scenic highway with controlled access and a hot spot for cyclists. It was on from the gun. Everyone went full out for 13 miles to the northern most end of the trail then regrouped on the way back. After a quick refuel at the local Shell station most of the team hopped back on the Trace and headed south for another out and back. Again it was hot from the start. This section consisted of fewer hills but they were much longer and took their tole as several riders pushed the pace hard. While the combined distance on Saturday was only 65 miles total the intensity made for an equally tough day.
If you want details about Saturday night, ask someone who was there. The stories are certainly much better told in person.
Sunday it was time to wake up, pack up and head back to Indy. All in all a fantastic trip, great roads, great house, great weather and great friends. Cant wait to do it again!
