Preliminary race schedules have been released by Big Dave Sports in Ohio and Planet Adventure in Indianapolis. The tentative dates and venues for the Ohio Spring Race Series, Kentuckiana Spring Race Series and the Planet Adventure Series have been added to the Team Calendar. These dates and locations are subject to change but should give you a good idea of the schedule through early June. The Team Calendar will constantly be updated as more events come online and as details continue to solidify. When possible the calendar will include links to registration through Truesport and BikeReg. The team will release a schedule of primary events after the first of the year.

3. The new team kit design will be unveiled.

Looking Back at 2010

As the year quickly draws to a close it's time to reflect back on the year that was for Team Indiebike. Although a handful of guys have raced under the banner of Indiebike for the past few years, 2010 was a break out season. With the backing of OrthoIndy Trauma and Hartman Dentistry, Team Indiebike was able to reach new heights and establish themselves as a recognizable and competitive cycling team in Central Indiana and the surrounding Region.

The big push for the season was to establish a name and image. By the end of the summer there was no mistaking that riders and promoters alike knew the riders in black (or white). Indiebike gained an ever increasing presence on the podium as the season went on and expects to continue that trend in 2011. This is highly likely given the dedication and development of the team's current riders and the addition of some new talent attracted by this year's campaign. Several strong riders made the jump this season by qualifying to upgrade to Cat3. There are a handful more working to do the same in 2011.

With the support of Cannondale bikes, Team Indiebike was able to make a much larger than expected impact on the cycolcross scene this fall. For many riders this was their first experience with cross. Luckily there were some seasoned cross junkies on the squad to show the ropes. One of the first timers, Dustin Jones, landed a spot on the podium at a national event in a field of 120 at the USGP in Louisville. In the last competitive event of the season at Brookside Park, Cory Swihart took the title of Cat3 Indiana Cyclocross State Champion.

Team Indiebike sends a sincere thanks to all of their sponsors that made this possible and to all of the riders that turned out to represent them well, even when their "legs were torched". Great work!

Indy Double Cross Weekend

Wow, what a way to wrap up the season. It was back to back days of cross racing in freezing cold blowing snow, through a sloppy blend of mud, slush and ice. I guess it was retribution for all of the dry dusty warm weather races earlier in the season. Both days drew big crowds, both in the number or riders and spectators. The fans were treated to some great action as the riders punished themselves and fought to stay upright and going forward. Sunday Cory Swihart brought home the bacon claiming the title of Cat3 Indiana State Cyclocross Champion.
